SLB Cambridge Research (SCR) is part of SLB's global network of research and engineering centres. SCR is a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment with state-of-the-art research and computing facilities. We work on applied research projects in the physical sciences to meet the current and future challenges of the industry.
Description & Scope
You will join the Systems and Process programme at SLB Cambridge Research and be involved in projects spanning a range of fields around sustainable minerals extraction, including: soft matter, interfacial science, sensors, and materials chemistry.
The work will primarily be experimental and will involve application of a range of physio-chemical techniques, both standard and developmental, to study detailed behaviour of these substances under representative conditions of use. The majority of the work will be lab-based, carrying out experiments as well as performing the analysis and interpretation of the experimental data.
The interns will work within a team of scientists as an integrated part of the team working on on-going research projects.

Deliverables
- Planning and carrying out experimental work, ensuring that laboratories activities are kept within Health & Safety standards guidelines.
- Analyzing and interpreting experimental dataset
- Participating in regular meeting to discuss project progress.
- Writing technical reports and presenting to peers
- Assist with the laboratory housekeeping.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Studying for a Bachelors in Chemistry, chemical engineering or related field
- Oral and written communication skills in English
- Good motivation, autonomy, teamwork, and ingenuity
- Fundamental Laboratory skills
- Data Analysis
