This position reports to

Operations Manager, Industries Business

Your role and responsibilities

Supports the Industries Robotics Business Line in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Uses machinery and equipment on the shop floor. Reads and interprets the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels. Conducts all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products and systems. Performs work manually or by using tools. Performs regular quality testing as part of a defined production process. Operates within standard operating procedures and maintains a clean work area. Demonstrates ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly, and understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting, and risks. Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area. Ensures adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies, and also integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities. Ensures adherence to the collaboration objectives of the team to maximize results for ABB. Leads their own development journey by seeking knowledge and learning opportunities within the team. Manages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensures alignment.

Qualifications for the role

• High school diploma, or GED, and minimum of 5+ years' experience in automation tool building, welding, robot assembly, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Disciplined work ethic.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
