As a Research Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role insupporting our research and development efforts. In this role, you will impact the future of technology by:
- Conducting experiments and tests according to established protocols
- Collecting and analyzing data, and preparing reports
- Assisting in the development and improvement of experimental procedures andtechniques
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring proper calibration andfunctionality
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support research projects
- Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform laboratory experiments up tokilo-scale involving hazardous materials under the direction of a chemist orchemical engineer
• Work includessupport for lab experiments, calculations, data analysis, maintaining records,and the accurate reporting of data
• Performtroubleshooting on kilo-lab scale equipment.
• Perform routine lab HSE and HOS tasks
• Conduct experiments and testsaccording to established protocols
• Collect and analyze data, and preparereports
• Assist in the development andimprovement of experimental procedures and techniques
• Maintain laboratory equipment andensure proper calibration and functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to support research projects
• Follow safety protocols and maintaina clean and organized laboratory environment

YOU MUST HAVE

• Associates or 2-year degree in chemistryor related discipline.
• 5 + years' experience in chemical labrelated work.

WE VALUE

• Ability to work safely with hazardousmaterials including hydrofluoric acid (HF), fluorosulfonic acid (FSA), and BF3
• Chemical knowledgeand mechanical aptitude to assemble, run and troubleshoot chemical experimentsand equipment
• Familiarity withchemistry fundamentals such as units, nomenclature, moles, formulas,stoichiometry, acids/bases/salts, pH, chemical reactions, gases, solutions, andcalculations involving these concepts
• Knowledgeable inlaboratory techniques such as use of glassware, compression fittings, use ofgas regulators, titrations, crystallization, distillation, vacuum distillation,high pressure autoclaves, high and low temperature techniques, handling of airand moisture sensitive materials and vacuum line manipulations
• Capable of learning,operating, and maintaining laboratory instrumentation such as FTIR, UV/Vis, GC,NMR and others
• Ability to keep alaboratory notebook, communicate results and observations
• Ability to usecomputer software such as Microsoft Office, SAP, and processcontrolsoftware
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field orequivalent experience
• Experience working in a laboratorysetting
• Strong attention to detail andability to follow protocols and procedures
• Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solvingabilities
• Experience with data analysissoftware and statistical methods
• Knowledge of laboratory safetyprotocols and procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a teamenvironment
• Strong written and verbalcommunication skills
