The role of the Industrial Network Engineer is to provide technical implementation services to support the evolution and ongoing support of customer networks in response to projects (all types), upgrades, service and feature enhancements and for remediation/break-fix services. The work is always in alignment to the current and approved architectural, roadmaps, technology standards and templates, governance and change management policies set forth by the customer and Honeywell. This role also provides senior networking technical support internally including collaboration with design and Architecture Engineering teams. An understanding of the role of Operations; troubleshooting practices and the use of proactive and reactive tools is important. Concepts such as driving value, always delivering quality, and understanding how their work impacts service resiliency are important. Understanding risk and having strong decision-making skills on assessing risk to the production network is essential to the success of the Industrial Network Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve network-related issues promptly in a 24x7x365 material handling environment.
- Multiple successful implementations of (including the ability to design, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot) DC technologies, Route & Switch IOS designs, WLAN access points and controllers
- Expert level knowledge in WAN/LAN topologies, including routing protocols, SDN, NextGen FW, and wireless
- Advanced network troubleshooting skills including debugs, routing topology tables, software defined networking, 802.1x authentication, Layer 2 switching & VPC's
- Must have knowledge of networking features and protocols such as spanning tree, ARP, CDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VPLS, DMVPN, Etherchannel, 802.1Q trunking, QoS, Multicast, 802.11, CAPWAP, 802.1X, EAP, IPsec, RADIUS/TACACS+, SNMP
- Ensure proper network connectivity for all servers, workstations, and network appliances between Honeywell and vendor environments
- Troubleshoot advanced and complex network-related problems including routing, L1/2 Switching, remote access, internet access, 802.1x, Wireless, and firewall rules to resolve operational issues and optimize services
- Monitor network performance to identify and to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future
- Configure and maintain network equipment as needed, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks
- Proactively manage network standards, documentation, performance baselines, and capacity planning
- Ability to design repeatable, reliable, and scalable network architectures with fault tolerance, performance tuning, monitoring systems, statistics/metrics collection, and disaster recovery
- Conduct regular network performance tests and recommend improvements.
- Maintain and create network diagrams and supporting documentation for customer sites and services and reviews documents created by others
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior network engineers and analysts. • Validate and document change requests in Dashboard to ensure accuracy and completeness

YOU MUST HAVE
- Configure and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- They are also responsible for mentoring personnel and ensuring all network related incidents are worked in a timely manner and support is being performed adequately by all engineers
- Ability to assist with performance tuning, monitoring systems, statistics/metrics collection, and disaster recovery
Provide operational support for Enterprise Wireless network with multiple SSID's and authentication methods, for various end points in a highly availability solution
WE VALUE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- Experience with network management tools & technology such as Sniffers (Wireshark), Logic Monitor
- The candidate must have the technical skills and integrity to meet and exceed customer expectations
