Description

Project teams in our Energy & Industrial Group (EIG) support industry-leading projects in power generation, plant design, environmental compliance, mid/downstream oil & gas, and multi-disciplined industrial projects. We're leading efforts to decarbonize the industry by utilizing advanced technologies in renewable energy, carbon capture, and hydrogen power. Our EIG teams perform detailed engineering services for photovoltaic (PV) solar projects and the integration of solar and energy storage. We're the industry leader in carbon capture technologies with experience executing pilot-scale to commercial-scale projects for utilities, industrial plants, and direct air capture. We provide engineering services for green hydrogen production via electrolysis using solar, wind, hydro, and nuclear power sources and we support on-site usage in power generation, fuel cells, and fueling stations.

This position will offer you the opportunity to consult with and manage project team(s) consisting of engineers, designers, estimators, controls, and scheduling professionals involved in the design, modification, and analysis for power and industrial projects.
  • You will work on challenging assignments including individual projects, large projects, and major programs. The assignments will vary but will be primarily studies that are strategic in nature.
  • Direct the team leads in the coordination of all aspects of engineering analysis and conceptual design.
  • Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, with high quality, on time performance and to strict financial requirements.
  • Coordinate systems design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
  • Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and Sargent & Lundy formats.
  • Perform and provide independent reviews of work performed by others in the execution of the work scope.

Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:
  • A BS in engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required.
  • PE license is Preferred
  • 15+ years of past relevant experience in the power and/or industrial sector as a project/plant manager or officer in a position of strategic planning.
  • Experience in strategic planning for new generation, asset evaluation, life expectancy and reliability studies.
  • Experience must include understanding of equipment selection, materials, control philosophy, for power generation facilities utilizing a variety of source fuels.
  • Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support projects.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
