Wood is looking for a talented individual to join our Process department as an ED I Process Designer. This role offers the opportunity to contribute expertise to a diverse range of Wood Projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interest in oil and gas, hydrocarbon refinery, offshore, mining or infrastructure industries having engineering drafting project experience.
- Originate new and revise existing Process engineering drawings.
- Revise and check engineering drawings against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
- Prepare complete bill of materials for all assigned drawings.
- Conduct and receive trainings related to job as required.
- Awareness and following of all drafting aspects such as correct use of symbols, layers and formats.
- Completion of work within allocated man-hours effectively and plan work to avoid slippage.
- Interfaces, coordinates and communicate effectively with the Project Lead and other team members.
- Go for site visits and verify site conditions and markup drawings/perform as-built activities.
- Manage deliverables submission with required quality checks and proper management of record.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Intermediate Diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology/ Mechanical Maintenance Technology
- Graduate / post-graduate level of understanding of Engineering Practices, Design Methods and Calculations.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to their discipline of engineering.
- Demonstrates the application of theory in a practical context to develop engineered solutions.
- Good communication, reporting and presentation skills including the ability to converse in the English language.
- Strong organizational skills and provides attention to detail.
- Highly motivated and demonstrates personal initiative.
- Possesses integrity, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and is dependable.
- Team player that works well and collaborates with supervisors, subordinates, peers and clients.
- High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of personal daily activities.
