Launch innovations in nearly every commercial and defense aircraft platform

You will be joining a well established Satellite Communications team based in Tewkesbury. We create Satellite and Terrestrial communication solutions for aircraft ranging from commercial jets to autonomous drones. The multi-disciplined team includes Systems, RF, Electrical, DSP, and Network engineers all collaborating together to produce exciting products. We have significant influence in air to ground (ATG) communications including LTE, GSM, VHF and others throughout Honeywell. Also leading into Data and Control links for UAS. We are actively involved in Government initiatives in this domain, notably ARTES and IRIS.

We are looking for strong candidates with 10+ years' experience in Satcoms Engineering who can demonstrate proficiency in a number of the following areas:

• End to end communications systems design that incorporates software, digital and rf systems

• Excellent understanding of Satellite communication protocols and systems. Ability to communicate on systems from the physical layer up through the networks layers.

• Experience in developing requirements systems design documentation, test plans and procedures and operational procedures.

• Experience in Matlab modem simulation and/or IP networking, protocols and security of data

• Working knowledge of full product lifecycle development for aeronautical applications

Qualifications, Skills & Experience required

• A Bachelors or Masters Degree or equivalent in Software, Physics, Electronics/Electrical Engineering related subject

• Broad Satcom knowledge across multiple systems

• Excellent communication skills and proficient with MS Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.

• Ability to plan and organise technical effort across multiple projects
