Job Position: Power Systems Engineer
Purpose: As a Power Systems Engineer at Knobelsdorff you will play a key role in designing, analyzing, and optimizing power systems. You will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and industry standards. This position will require onsite visits to collect and review customers electrical system, record detailed records of customers electrical systems to create system model once off site. This position requires up to 50% of travel.
Responsibilities
Power System Design:
Develop and design electrical power systems for various applications, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Analysis and Optimization:
Conduct detailed analysis and simulations to optimize power system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
Project Management:
Lead or contribute to power systems projects, overseeing the entire lifecycle from conception to implementation.
Technical Documentation:
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and design drawings.
Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, electrical engineers, and clients, to ensure successful project delivery.
Testing and Commissioning:
Support testing and commissioning activities, ensuring that power systems meet design specifications and client requirements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in power systems design and analysis.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as but not limited to SKM, Easy Power or Etap tools for simulation and analysis.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for simulation and analysis.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proven communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
- Must be capable of working in inclement conditions to include extreme hot and cold temperatures.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs.
