About the position:
We're looking for an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead electrical architecture and hardware development activities for Energy Solution product lines including battery and fuel cell systems. In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and integrate electrical systems for fuel cell and battery applications, ensuring seamless operation and performance.
- Define component specifications and work with component vendors to evaluate and integrate electrical subsystem components into the product design.
- Working independently or collaborating with vendors to create and validate electrical circuit designs, including schematics and PCB layouts, for fuel cell and battery management systems.
- Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate electrical systems, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical system issues, implementing effective solutions to improve system reliability and efficiency.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Collaborate effectively with mechanical engineers, software developers, test engineers and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive system integration and functionality.
- Support functional safety engineers to develop risk and safety analysis documentation, including FMEDA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis), FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), and S/DFMEA (System/Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Provide guidance and training to team members on electrical design and best practices.
About you:
- Bachelor's in Electrical or Systems Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical systems engineering, preferably within the automotive or industrial sectors.
- Proficiency in electrical circuit design and analysis.
- Experience with battery management systems and fuel cell technologies.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with CAD tools for circuit design (e.g., Altium, OrCAD).
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE).
- Experience commercializing circuit designs and optimizing the design for manufacturing
- Experience designing circuits requiring agency approval (UL, etc)
- Experience with high voltage (> 60V) system design and protections.
- Familiarity with battery systems especially related to motive power
- Excellent organization, coordination, and planning abilities.
- Superior interpersonal, communications and listening skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to present technical material to a technically diverse audience.

- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Related certifications in electrical engineering or systems engineering
About the total compensation package:
