Service Team Leader
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations. The work model for the role is: remote #LI-Remote This role is contributing to the Motion Service division in the US. You will be mainly accountable for: • Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer's operations and eliminate pain points. • Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform. • Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities. • Acting as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers. Qualifications for the role
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical program and 2 years of experience in installing, testing, repairing or troubleshooting AC/DC drive systems and their associated controls.
- Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, technical manuals, and technical specifications.
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
- Willing to provide technical support during evenings and weekends on a rotating schedule.
- Bachelor's in electrical engineering, experience with MV Drives, knowledge of: power electronics, motors, transformers, switch gears, and computer network communication protocol and theory of operation preferred.
