The role
The Financial Planning & Performance Analyst plays a critical role within the Planning & Performance Management (PPM) team, supporting the company's operations across the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, China, and India. This position ensures smooth financial planning and performance reporting, offering key insights that guide both strategic and short-term decision-making.
The role provides comprehensive financial analysis for specific business segments, helping to identify business drivers and offering insightful recommendations to enhance performance. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to gain a holistic understanding of financial operations within a global business environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business teams to deliver analytical support, preparing reports on sales, margins, costs, and cash flow for both short-term and long-term financial forecasts.
  • Develop detailed financial forecasts, incorporating data from market environments, sales expectations, cost strategies, and capital investment outcomes.
  • Maintain strong connections with business stakeholders to ensure that financial forecasts are accurate, trusted, and adopted by management teams.
  • Provide high-quality commentary on business performance to senior leadership.

Required experience/knowledge:
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or Engineering.
  • Post-graduate qualifications or membership in a professional body is advantageous.
Technical Expertise:
  • Experience in performance reporting for large-scale organizations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to present performance insights to senior leaders, offering interpretation and challenges where needed.
  • Ability to streamline and improve financial processes for greater efficiency.
Behavioural Competencies:
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
