We are currently seeking a Director of Sustainability and Energy Management (m/f/d), to be based in Germany as part of our Global Operations team. You will work directly for the VP of Global Operations. You will develop, implement, and oversee CIRCOR's energy and sustainability strategy across all of our international locations, focusing initially on Germany. You will provide thought leadership to and align the Company's global sustainability goals, collaborate across all parts of the organization to ensure regulatory compliance, meeting deadlines critical programs such as CSRD and CBAM, while driving innovation in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.

POSITION DETAILS
  • Set, monitor and drive improvement in sustainability KPIs, including, energy consumption and costs, greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, waste reduction, and other relevant environmental and social metrics.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance CIRCOR's environmental stewardship and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including GHG emissions reductions, supply chain sustainability, and relevant directives such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and CBAM.
  • Liaise with governmental and non-governmental organizations to anticipate new legislation and industry standards.
  • Monitor and manage sustainability data collection, tracking, and reporting across CIRCOR's operations.
  • Collaborate with business and operational leaders to develop detailed action plans for successful ownership and execution at the local business unit level, while coordinating and leveraging resources to deliver improvements effectively.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for sustainability related matters with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Identify and implement innovative technologies and processes to improve energy efficiency and sustainability performance across operations, supply chains and product lifecycles.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies that align with corporate goals and sustainability objectives.
  • Managing CIRCOR's internal sustainability committees and working groups; Prepare updates and briefings for senior management, including the Company's Board of Directors, and support other executive leadership team requirements

Job Requirements:

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Energy Management or a related technical filed; energy efficiency experience in industrial/manufacturing setting required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in sustainability, ESG or corporate responsibility roles with a strong focus on European and U.S.
    regulations and practices.
  • Proven track record in developing, implementing and leading energy management and sustainability initiatives, particular in large, multinational organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of European and U.S.
    environmental policies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments, regions and cultures.
  • Strong strategic leadership skills, capable of developing and implementing a comprehensive sustainability strategy for CIRCOR's global operations.
  • Fluency in English and German preferred
