We are looking for an experienced Technical Team Lead for our domestic/commercial Gas and Ventilation systems. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of systems that manage gas distribution and ventilation within our domestic and commercial settings.

This role ensures safety, compliance with regulations, and operational efficiency by leading our contractors to develop solutions and prevent potential hazards that could compromise the health and safety of our residents.

The Technical Team Lead (TTL) for Gas and Ventilation will report directly to the Heating & Hot Water Manager and collaborate with a small, specialised team. This team consists of two Gas/Heating Coordinators and one Gas Engineer, whom the TTL will supervise. The TTL's role involves overseeing the work of the Gas Engineer to ensure that safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project goals are consistently met.

The Technical Team Lead will typically encompass a range of duties aimed at ensuring the safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of gas, ventilation, and regeneration systems. This includes the coordination and administration of services, as well as the meticulous reporting on the status and performance of these systems.

The TTL will be tasked with the management of safety programs, including the appointment of qualified contractors for maintenance and annual safety checks, and the implementation of robust procedures to comply with safety regulations. Additionally, the TTL will be responsible for budget management, contract management, and the continuous improvement of the safety programmes, ensuring that all installations and maintenance activities are executed in accordance with legislative requirements.

The TTL will provide effective monitoring and reporting, which are crucial and often involving regular updates to senior management to ensure transparency and accountability in the operation of gas and heating services. These responsibilities are critical for maintaining the health and safety of residents and employees, as well as for providing reassurance to customers and regulators regarding the organisation's commitment to gas safety and compliance.

It is essential that the Technical Team Lead possess the following qualifications and experience.

• ACS Gas for Domestic and Commercial Appliances/MVHR professional Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of gas statutory compliance and gas management requirements in housing maintenance

• Experience in working with MVHR, Ventilation and Air Conditioning system.

• Ability to supervise, organise and prioritise workload of administration staff.

• Supervisor/Management experience within Social Housing.

• Computer literate

• Must be highly organised.

• Excellent customer service skills

• Current Driving Licence
