The Department of Mining Engineering and Management (MEM) at South Dakota Mines invites applications for an Instructor, Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer for the Spring 2024 semester. This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited position. The position may continue semester-by-semester, dependent upon performance, department need, funding, and student enrollment.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an earned master's degree in business or mining engineering or a closely related field. They should also have at least ten years of experience in mining engineering, management, or supply chain management. Previous experience teaching online or in person with the use of an online learning management system is desirable.
Expectations will include teaching both undergraduate and graduate level courses. The initial course to be developed and taught will be in Operations and Supply Chain Management for the Mineral Industry.
