An exciting opportunity has become available at Vestas for an experienced Material Handler to join our collaborative and enthusiastic team working from our Bangholme warehouse.
Vestas Australia is seeking a Full-Time maintenance/welder/trades person at our Tools Department in Bangholme.
The Dandenong Tools department is responsible for the supply of all tools for the Transport, Construction, Erection, Installation, Commissioning and Service of wind turbines in Australia and Southeast Asia.
If you have experience in welding, maintenance or general repairs, this may be the job for you!
There may be travel required in the future but for the moment travelling isn't required.
Be part of highly dedicated team striving to deliver tooling to service and construction sites in ASP. Will be working with people locally and abroad.
Its a fast paced department we need to adjust workloads all the time, and prioritise tasks accordingly.

Responsibilities
- Refurbish return tools containers, assessing hand tools, lifting, hydraulic, special and calibrated tools to ascertain if they can be used again
- Testing of tools
- Put away tools
- Data entry
- Stock take
- Reporting
- Good communication skills
- Working with other Departments to meet deadlines for Projects.
- The use of Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets for required tools and equipment for site installation and erection of wind turbines
- Oversee and management of pick packers to ensure that the correct tools are picked for projects
- Work within strict timeframes to have lifting tools certified, picked, packed and loaded into containers ready for site delivery with your team
- Planning and ordering of lifting equipment for stock and non-stock inventory for projects and service
- Working with Engineers and Sites to assist in lifting solutions.
- To learn and understand in depth, how tools are used on site and what they are used for.
- Coordinating with the Senior Tools Coordinator and the Stock Controller to plan and drop orders and picking slips for tools for the commencement of projects.
Qualifications
- Mechanical trade certificate preferred
- SAP Microsoft officeTime management
- Current Australian drivers licence
- Current forklift licence
Competencies
- Flexibility in operation and ability to work in a team and as an independent contributor
- Strong attention to details and ability to multi task, prioritize and work without loosing focus in a fast paced environment
