JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is seeking "Expression of Interest" for a Key Account Manager to join our Operations team, based in New Brunswick. This individual will have experience in the Oil and Gas sector and a strong track record of business development, client service management, and project management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve on client account teams as a senior member to complete active, focused, and successful business development plans
  • Anticipate medium / long term client needs and industry dynamics
  • Lead or assist in leading pursuits of major opportunities, including preparation of proposals for key clients
  • Develop and maintain good quality relationships between all active participants in the contract
  • Work with local engineering teams and operations managers to align resources with clients' requirements
  • Ensure that contract benchmarking is applied to contract performance delivery
  • Leverage Wood's global expertise to ensure client satisfaction and requirements are met
  • Manage project execution from conception to record drawings
  • Accountable for ensuring a robust and functional process of continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate excellent safety leadership qualities by implementing safety principles within the business
  • Establish exceptional client relationships and management, including communication through face to face and virtual meetings, as well as verbal and written correspondence
  • Actively engage with the client's key personnel and representatives to pursue improvement to contract delivery and secure future work scopes


QUALIFICATIONS

  • This leader will be a high integrity executive with a commitment to delivering on promises
  • Senior level, greater than 15 years of experience - with proven track record as a key contributor to a global leadership team
  • Possess in-depth experience in the Oil and Gas Sector
  • Strong technical and management background including progressively responsible leadership roles in project management, operation management and business development
  • Strategic mindset and capable of developing tactical and strategic plans and programs designed to achieve business and sales objectives
  • Experience working within an engineering contractor's organization in a senior role, driven by meeting deadlines while maintaining quality of output in a high-pressure environment
  • Visible network of contacts in target markets and clients
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must possess excellent, clear and concise, verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, conduct effective client presentations and prepare written reports
  • Be positive, persuasive, open and expert with both internal and external stakeholders and have the ability to build rapport and trust with key clients, business leaders and team members
  • Basic knowledge of construction and engineering processes is required
  • Project management experience, PMP certification would be considered an asset
  • Experience in the refining and petrochemical industry sectors would be beneficial
  • Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
