Airswift is seeking for an Instrumentation and Control Specialist to work with our client based in Qatar.
Job purpose:
- To safely and efficiently lead and supervise brownfield activities executed by the EPC Contractor related to Instrumentation and Control Discipline for project.
- Close follow up of the EPC Contractor scope with respect to Highest Safety and Quality Standard, and in compliance to the contract requirement and the project objectives
- Coordinate and manage all on-site, as well as support other project discipline to deliver successful projects, safely, on time and within the desired level of quality.
- To deliver Brownfield Project on time under the Company Energy LNG Project Management System, to budget and to the required level of quality.
- Work with the project team to maintain relationship with contractor, subcontractors, vendors.
- Coordinate to ensure all required materials, equipment and inspections occur to support schedule
- Prepare and provides routine verbal and written progress reports to the Head of HUC BROWNFIELD and updates progress performance of the contractor with analysis to achieve progress
- Review the contractor's construction and Brownfield deliverables such as Method Statements, procedures, etc as per company specification
- Attend workshops, shutdown gates, document reviews, formal risk assessments, deliverables to support project execution
- Engineer or technician with more than 10 years' experience in O&G facility construction, project or operations
- Technical background with Minimum of 10 years' experience in Instrumentation Construction, Project, commissioning or Maintenance of O&G
- Experience in offshore Instrumentation construction, commissioning and brownfield activities under SIMOPS Conditions.
- Good Knowledge in Instrumentation Control and Safety Systems ICSS and commissioning
- Knowledgeable in HAZOP, HAZID, Risk Assessment processes and applications.
- Good knowledge of international codes / Standards related to instrumentation and ICSS
Key accountabilities:
- Provides safety, Health and Environmental leadership by example to the Project Team and contractor, its subcontractor and site vendors
- Responsible for ensuring the contractor team implements and sustains its obligations and responsibilities for HSES project deliverables.
- To deliver project phase requirements, milestones as defined in schedule in line with COMPANY Management System
- To supervise and control the activities of the Contractor/Subcontractors related to the Instrumentation, Instrumentation Control, Safety Systems (ICSS) operations and Commissioning to ensure that it complies with contractual requirements, project documentation and applicable International Standards.
- To Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors for all Instrumentation, ICSS subjects, commissioning and ensure the Contractors/Subcontractors progress follow up and reporting.
- To contribute to the engineering, design check for the instrumentation and ICSS aspects, as well as the compliance to all technical requirements by providing, Instrumentation and ICSS inputs
- To Participate to Risk Assessments, kick off meetings and Pre-Job Meetings, pre-Simops visits, technical meeting etc. as required in accordance with Company's referential.
- To ensure Permit To Work preparation in due time with needed technical and HSE documentation, in line with standards.
- To Ensure the proper quality and traceability of the fabrication assisted if required
- To Ensure with Contractors/Subcontractors that all the built dossiers are properly handover to the Onshore and offshore Team.
- Verify that the EPC Contractor's reports are accurate with regards to progress reporting.
- Development and mentoring of staff
- To participate to REX and Lessons, Learned for the Company.
