Position Summary:

The Project Finance Specialist supports the CoC GIF coverage Team to create account profitability with new and assigned customers by using a range of banking products and structures in the traditional and renewable energy project finance sector.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management:

• Ongoing monitoring of existing project finance portfolio with regards to construction and operation
• Annual preparation of transaction reviews including Cash Flow Analysis and Rating update
• Execution of amendment and waiver requests for existing transactions as needed.
• Analysis of portfolio and/or single transaction profitability based on return on equity measurements.
• Maintain all relevant internal IT-tools in order to keep highest data quality level.

Support new transactions:

• Modeling of Cash-Flow and transaction structures
• Cash Flow Analysis and Rating preparation of new transactions
• Review and evaluation of Diligence materials
• Preparation of front office portion of credit applications and work with credit officer on a per transaction basis.
• Cooperation with other departments (e.g. legal, compliance, treasury, credit) during the credit approval process
• Execution of transaction documentation (e.g. technical, insurance, legal, etc)

Support Relationship Management:

• Execution of all internal and external communication within the scope of the portfolio management duties
• Preparation of client presentations prior to client meetings
• Miscellaneous support during client meetings
• Research of prospects, market and technology developments, transaction closings and structures

Experience/Qualifications/Education:

• At least 1-3 years of experience in structuring cash-flow driven financings with a preference to experience specific to renewable or other project finance lending.
• Solid credit analysis skills
• Cash Flow modeling skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrates strong initiative and works independently
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
