Join us in this role where, together with the Lead Wind Farm Commissioning Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, management, and execution of offshore and onshore HVDC high-voltage electrical commissioning activities, including a 300 MW battery energy storage system at our wind farm construction sites. For the coming years, you'll be working on our 2.9 GW Hornsea 3 project from the EPC Hub at Humberside/North Lincolnshire and our onshore substation at Norwich/Norfolk.

Welcome to Electrical Installations & Commissioning Management
You'll be part of our Commissioning Scope Manager team where you, together with your colleagues, will ensure the overall reliability, operability, and performance of our new offshore wind farm projects. As the Wind Farm Commissioning Manager at site, you'll also head a team of highly skilled high voltage switching and control engineers. While on site, you'll report directly to the Lead Wind Farm Commissioning Manager. As a team, we develop employees to succeed and perform to their abilities.

You'll play an important role in:
  • preparing, planning, coordinating, and executing the electrical commissioning of the overall wind farm assets, incl. system readiness tests and validation of performance
  • ensuring strong stakeholder management and agreements to align, coordinate, and secure commissioning activities towards our EPCI Contractor, our onshore and offshore packages, and the transmission system owner (TSO)
  • establishing, managing, and allocating tasks to electrical engineers and technicians, predominantly professionals with authorised qualifications
  • ensuring optimal planning and operation of wind farm power export and capacity, performance, and reliability during the commissioning period until transfer to operations & maintenance
  • participating in the development and optimisation of the commissioning execution of wind farms for faster energisation, first power, commercial operational date, and transfer to OFTO/Operations.

To succeed in the role, you:
  • have a relevant technical qualification, for example a bachelor's degree in electrical and/or mechanical engineering, B.Sc./B.Eng., or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of senior commissioning management experience
  • possess strong leadership and management skills for impactful communication with teams and stakeholders, the development of your team, and for influencing project performance
  • have a strong drive and thrive working in a project management role where you coordinate complex and cross-discipline commissioning activities, from large-scale projects such as offshore wind farms and thermal power generation plants to oil and gas, and managing the associated tasks in a professional manner
  • have solid experience with working efficiently in a large matrix organisation and understand how to engage the right internal and external people and stakeholders at the right time
  • are resilient, persistent, and thrive in an international environment and are able to create good relationships with your stakeholders.

Maybe you've read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don't quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
