OBJECTIVES OF JOB
The E&I Engineer is the focal point for all E&I related project activities in the field. He is responsible for maintenance and updating of the E&I documentation.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. HSE performance
• Ensure that all works are carried out in line with the Company’s HSE policies and that all personnel under his direction are aware of the policies.
2. Staff performance
• Provide hands-on training to national staff. Must demonstrate willingness to actively support the national integration program in place.
3. Business Integrity
• Liaise with Contractor companies to ensure sufficient supervision, manpower and equipment are available for the implementation of required works.
• Highlight any Contractor deficiencies and take required steps to rectify.
• Review of the availability of Company supplied materials for the works, highlighting shortages ordering of same and follow up of orders.
• Liaise with 3rd party inspection authority to ensure all required inspections, certificates, etc. are to Company requirements.
• Work with the Electrical/Instrumentation Superintendent to specify all kinds of new electrical and DCS related equipment.
• Support the PLT representatives in their duties as per the management of change procedures.
• Ensure E&I drawings are updated as changes are found or made.
4. Profitability
• Execute the activities in a cost effective manner and within budget.
5. Investment and Growth
• Work closely with the Construction and Maintenance Engineers to ensure professional execution of projects.
• Provide support as required to large projects executed in the field such that they can be completed timely.
6. External Relationships
• Maintain good communications with all Company departments and Contractors.
