Supporting the cost monitoring and controlling activities through all phases of Drilling and Completion campaigns including evaluation of the estimate and set up the cost tracker, cost monitoring & control, forecasting and tracking cost variances, change management, reporting, cost risk analysis, assurance, and closeout.
You will be responsible for:
- Performing in accordance with Corporate Policies and Management Standards and fully Compliant and Promote Woodside Safety Culture
- Building cost tracker from approved estimate
- Managing Value of Work Done (VOWD) process, Performance Measurement, VOWD phasing, trends and all Cost Control activities for the assigned scope
- Developing Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC)
- Maintaining the cost forecast in accordance with agreed procedures
- Managing routines with stakeholders and cross functional groups (such as Exploration, Projects, Development, Finance, Projects Business Office, Supply Chain)
- Ensuring early recognition and warning to stakeholders of adverse cost trends impacting agreed cost targets and budgets
- Assessing risks and opportunities that may impact the current forecast
- Quickly learn legacy processes and good understanding of P2P and Cost Control processes to improve, influence ways of working, and support change management with key stakeholders
- Reviewing the Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order Process to support vendor management
- Supporting Cost Performance Lead in Cost Control and Cost Estimation practices
Essential skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Degree, Cost Engineering program OR relevant experience
- Demonstrated understanding of Project Services and Contracting/Procurement disciplines and their relationships to cost engineering activities.
- Highly effective communication skills and ability to develop and present management reports at all levels, including presentations to management
- Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills.
- Analytical/technical skills with a practical approach to problem solving
- Location for this assignment is Perth working full-time hours
- Previous Cost Controller experience within the Oil & Gas sector
- Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement
- Good understanding of Cost Control processes and best practice
- Proficient in SAP and MS Excel
- Experienced in Cost Control tools and templates
- Ability to prepare quality documentation
