About the Role
Accountable for managing the Transport Control Tower, this includes Inbound International and Outbound Domestic Transport performance (Safety, Service, Quality, Sustainability & Cost)
- Monitor the flow of shipments from sources globally and last mile to customer domestically.
- Manage specific events impacting Transport shipments (weather, capacity constraints, traffic delays, damage) to mitigate service impacts to customers and provide a high level of end-to-end communication to stakeholders
Coordinate the Transport Control Tower performance on the following activities:
- Daily, Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly Reviews with our Carrier Partners and support groups (Customer Care, Planning, Warehousing) inside the Control Tower located in our Distribution Centre (Ingleburn, Sydney)
- Review & Monitor performance dashboards and drive continuous improvement actions
- Pro-active notifications/alerts to Customers on shipment delays
About You
- Degree/Diploma in transport/freight forwarding/logistics management or information systems technology and management related to transport & logistics
- 3 - 4 years experience in the transport/freight forwarding/logistics field or information system technology management
- Knowledge in transportation daily operations, 3PL industry know-how, and supply chain understanding
- Good knowledge in SAP/OTM/EDI, Microsoft Office suite, great communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
