This position reports to

Technical Training Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop course materials and handle content delivery for technical training for customers, either in classroom or on-site. Each day, you will be responsible for post-training activities such as course feedback collection, possible corrective actions on course materials and equipment, etc. You will also showcase your expertise by guaranteeing excellent customer service and securing high level of customer satisfaction through trainings. The work model for the role is hybrid in Cary, NC You will be mainly accountable for: • Provide management oversight of assigned EL Services personnel located in the Cary facility. • Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Services Training center. This includes compliance to all regulatory & non-regulatory ABB safety requirements (Reporting of Risk assessments, Safety Hazards, SOTs), equipment management, & facility maintenance. • Oversee the technical content of the EL Services training curriculum. This includes development of new product Service offerings/trainings, development of legacy ABB product Service offerings/trainings, collaboration with 3rd party content development teams. • Establish/manage the technical training course master schedule, & ensuring resources such as training material, course instructors, equipment are prepared in advance of scheduled class. • Ensure assigned course instructors meet instructional requirements - PCS2 certification, ability to provide a safe learning environment (Classroom & Lab), Accuracy (attendance, delivery of content, certification requirements). • Select & ensures training compliance of 3rd party suppliers. • Support technical projects/discussions as needed by the business.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent, or higher education.
  • 5+ years of experience in field services, power delivery, technical training, or related experience. working as Electrical Engineer or experienced technical trainer with LV and MV or HV power systems.
  • Sound knowledge of Electrical Services and Products and the electrification.
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution, power electronics, or control system design.
  • Excellent communication skills both with external customers and internal customers. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to train, mentor and evaluate personnel, for the purpose of providing internal and external training.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
