JOB DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement inventory strategies by analyzing demand and supply dynamics and managing plan inputs (a strategy and planning method, safety stock, lot sizing, and other settings for each part).
  • Assess and optimize the working capital and inventory impacts of proposed planning strategies strategic.
  • Assess the impact of these strategies on manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Manage MRP input settings for each part, such as safety stock, demand planning and replenishment strategy settings.
  • Collaborate with business owners to understand plan inputs and inventory changes.
  • Recommend adjustments to strategic levers impacting demand, inventory, and supply plans.
  • Create processes that enable strategic decision-making to drive detailed technical planning in ERP/MRP systems.
  • Develop expertise in forecasting, pull systems, safety stock, and other planning processes.
  • Leverage team collaboration and technology tools to improve planning processes to meet business objectives.4
  • Partner with operations, finance, sales, and information systems teams to support and achieve business goals.
  • Facilitate an integrated team approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Analyze data and processes to derive critical insights for achieving business goals. Communicate findings effectively to various stakeholders, including senior executives and individual contributors.
  • Lead and participate in complex projects requiring specialized knowledge in operations, ERP systems, supply chain, data analytics, business process automation, or planning processes.
  • Demonstrate expertise in one or more of these areas with the aptitude to learn and develop expertise the others.
  • Leverage advanced data technologies like Python and Snowflake to automate demand and inventory planning analytics.
  • Learn the to these technologies if you aren't already proficient with them and their innovative applications in business processes and data analytics.
  • Act as a thought leader, sought out by multiple departments to create processes that align with the organization's vision and goals.
  • Develop technical skills necessary to transform or automate processes.
  • Coach and upskill team members to foster agility in adopting new methods and tools. Communicate effectively with diverse audiences to balance high-level business needs with detailed technical execution.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Aptitude for or experience in strategic inventory planning, supply chain management, and manufacturing operations.
  • Aptitude for learning or strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, data analytics, and business process automation.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems or demonstrate an aptitude to develop expertise.
  • Proficiency in advanced data technologies, such as Python and Snowflake, is highly desirable.

  • Must have excellent communication skills to drive and influence change as required.
  • Must have excellent presentation skills including ability to create effective visual, oral, and written executive summaries.
  • Must possess a strong analytical background to assess, evaluate, and recommend changes to the process and the systems.
  • Must be able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
  • Ability to meet or exceed standards as established by the department.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple priorities and projects at the same time.
  • Assertive and can drive urgency when problems arise with making new components.
  • Ability to drive teamwork between groups and cross functional teams.
  • Ability to drive issues to closure and get job done in professional and compliant manner.
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
