JOB DESCRIPTION

Fiber Glass Systems, a business under NOV is hiring! These DAY SHIFT positions are routinely scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm.

This position is located in Waycross, GA, and ensures the safe and quality fabrication and assembly of complex custom machinery, gates & other assemblies based on our customer's drawings and needs. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fabricate complex custom production machinery per print, sample, and/or verbal instruction.
• MIG and TIG welding with the ability to pass a weld test on each. Certification preferred but not required.
• Read blueprints and create jigs and fixtures for weldments as necessary
• Fabricate and assemble new equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment; isolate cause of problem as necessary
• Utilize safe work habits
• Wear appropriate PPE
• Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
• Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
• Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
• Work on assigned projects
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience using metal lathe, mill, and bandsaw preferred
• 3 years related experience
• Forklift trainable
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to work overtime and shift work as required
• Ability to use hand tools
• Use measuring tape, calipers, hand grinder, level, and other common tools and instruments
• Welding knowledge
• Familiarity with basic mechanical work including using pipe threader and conduit bender.
