Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to seek a QC Supervisor to work in their facilities located in Tanzania.
The Quality Supervisor EIT is responsible for supervision of the day-to-day Electrical and Instrumentation Construction activities of the Company CONTRACTORs ensuring full compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures and verify that works are correctly carried out in accordance with project documentation and in the planned time frame. They will ensure work is carried out using safe working practices and is completed in accordance with the project codes, standards, drawings, and specifications.
With the support of the Field Engineering, as well as the Quality Leads, He/She will develop and implement Qualification Management Strategies based on Electrical and Instrumentation compliance strategies and the approved EIT processes of the main Construction CONTRACTORs.
This will be interfaced with the onsite construction and fabrication sequences and support the facilitation of EIT qualification for the CONTRACTOR based on the applicable construction strategy and Construction CONTRACTOR's supplied data.
They will ensure work is carried out using safe working practices and is completed in accordance with the project codes, standards, drawings, and specifications.
ACTIVITIES:
? Implement, use, and communicate safe work practices on and off the Project Sites.
? Mentor exemplary behaviour regarding Project HSE policy.
? Support CONTRACTOR Construction Engineering in accordance project requirements and procedures.
? Collaborate with CONTRACTOR to ensure accurate interpretation of procedures and provide technical support to address challenges.
? Evaluate CONTRACTOR method statements and work procedures in conjunction with EIT Field Engineering.
? Develop and implement a EIT Qualification Management System aligned with project-specific Construction strategies.
? Develop (if required) a EIT Qualification system aligned with the project specifications.
? Uphold adherence to Materials, Electrical and Instrumentation processes in accordance with Project specifications and requirements.
? Coordinate necessary inspections and testing with the Construction Quality Lead, ensuring compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) hold points.
? Ensure the competency and proper training of the EIT workforce at site.
? Oversee the maintenance and daily checks of EIT test equipment, as well as the preservation of materials according to supplier recommendations.
? Manage work acceptance operations and oversee punch list follow-ups.
? Monitor Construction activities, ensuring alignment with manufacturer recommendations.
? Monitor repairs and activities ensuring alignment with manufacturers recommendation and approved project specifications.
? Oversee CONTRACTOR's management of material storage, including weather control, expiration dates, and stock provisions.
? Ensure CONTRACTOR plans and utilizes adequate facilities, equipment, and calibrated tools for the works.
? Facilitate the implementation of training programs and qualification processes for operators by the CONTRACTOR.
? Assist Field Engineers in coordinating failure and root cause analyses for failure-related issues.
? Actively participate in EIT process initiatives, emphasizing quality and optimizing production throughput.
? Review Vendor and Construction CONTRACTOR documentation packages for EIT processes.
? Conduct technical audits of CONTRACTOR and Vendor systems pertaining to abovementioned processes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED
? Minimum of 5 years' experience required a similar role on large scale Construction projects, preferably in Oil & Gas or other linear projects with expertise large scale construction projects, preferably in Oil & Gas.
? Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant qualification (HNC/HND) combined with extensive field experience
? Extensive experience required in Electrical and Instrumentation installations equipment in large scale projects, preferably with an Oil & Gas construction environment,
? Must possess construction experience in equipment installations projects, Experience required in reading of Technical E&I Documentation, installation of Instrumentation, electrical construction activities and cold and hot commissioning activities.
? Experience working with and analyzing defect data to report accurate KPI's 7 non-compliance trends.
? A thorough knowledge of applicable international codes, standards & Company/Operators standards
? Working knowledge of national & local regulatory frameworks (laws, regulations, guidelines, policies)
