Regional Project Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result. The work model for the role is: #hybrid This role is contributing to the Medium Voltage Switchgears of Electrification Distribution Solution in Thailand. You will be mainly accountable for: • Leading and establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals. • Involves in continuous improvement and simplification. Ensures compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and contractual requirements. Supports in improving guidelines, tools, and templates • Supports local Sales and Tendering through early involvement in tenders. • Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials. Overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow. • Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued. • Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract. • Ensures that the project consistently applies contract and claims management in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements. • Coordinates with Supply Chain Management and successfully procures required services, materials, and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers • Acts as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders. • Ensures the project follows and complies with company HSE policies. • Forecasts schedule to determine if the project is still within defined tolerance ranges and identifies any necessary change requests to drive the closure. Plans and tracks all project activities, establishes scheduling risks and opportunities to deliver projects on time according to commitments to the customer and ABB.

Qualifications for the role

• Degree of Engineering.
• You are at ease communicating in English and Thai.
• Ability to demonstrate your experience in Project Management minimum from 5 years
• Stakeholder Management - Chairing meetings and Equipment Inspections on site, SOT's. etc
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of Supply Chain/ Procurement - Incoterms and Tax/Duties
• SAP experience and Budget Management
• Extensive knowledge of electrical products/services
• Familiar with working at site
