Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Product Manager in optimizing the offer portfolio and return on investment. Each day, you will ensure that ABB has full understanding of market requirements in a specific area and can transform those requirements into offer specifications and development activities. You will also showcase your expertise by performing various offer lifecycle activities supporting the development, launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. The work model for the role is: onsite #LI-Onsite either in Moorebank, NSW or Notting Hill, VIC. This role is contributing to the Power Protection Group in Australia and New Zealand. Main stakeholders are Channel Partners, Sales and Marketing team and internal teams (i.e. Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Logistics) As part of our dynamic global team, you will regularly collaborate with colleagues in China and Europe. This role includes exciting opportunities to travel to China. Additionally, due to our international operations, you will engage in calls and meetings outside of standard business hours, enhancing your experience working across different time zones and cultures, participating in the development plans and communication of product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the local product marketing strategy. You will be mainly accountable for: • Understanding and following global or assigned area standards, market and customer requirements, and their impact on the current offer portfolio. This includes regularly analyzing and interpreting market data to adjust strategies accordingly. • Conducting valuation of market size and trends, as well as competitor analyses. This involves identifying offering gaps, evaluating ABB's market standing, and generating reports that help steer the company's competitive strategy. • Ensuring technical solutions can be used across the Product Group's offer portfolio to the maximum possible extent. This includes standardizing technical specifications and leveraging shared services across different markets to improve efficiency and product consistency. • Managing the technical specification of the assigned products. Supporting the Product Manager in developing the business case for product developments, maintenance, and cost reduction. This includes defining technical requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and overseeing the product lifecycle from development to launch.

Qualifications for the role
- You are engaged in working with technical solutions. Knowledge of power electronics products and technologies is advantageous but is not mandatory.
- Have established skills with 2+ years of experience in market situation analysis, competitor analysis, and product positioning.
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Salesforce.com.
- You are innovative around customer relations and strategic opportunities and have a keen interest in market trends and analysis.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is strongly desired.
- You are at ease communicating in both English and standard Chinese
