Position Overview
We are seeking an Applications Specialist for the Refining & Petrochemical Industries to provide field support and technical expertise to our European sales team. This role involves a significant amount of travel (60-70%).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide field support for customer sales and problem-solving.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare visit reports and optimization programs.
• Assist in selecting solutions for customer systems.
• Contribute to business growth through support of the European sales organization.
• Develop and deliver technical training content.
• Collaborate on large tender responses and prepare case histories.
• Support new technology introductions and product line refreshment.
• Maintain technical documentation and product selection tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
• At least 15 years of experience in industrial water treatment, particularly in influent, cooling, boiler, and wastewater applications at refining and large petrochemical plants.
• Strong understanding of the economic and environmental benefits of effective water treatment.
• Operational experience with all water systems within the refining and petrochemical industries.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-skilled team.
• Strong customer-focused communication skills.
• Previous sales experience in the water treatment business within the refining and petrochemical industry is essential.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in French is preferred but not essential.
