Job Summary

The Repowering Foreman's primary responsibility is to lead an installation team in the re-powering work at MCB Camp Lejeune. This is a working Foreman position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise assigned crew to achieve efficient completion of work.
  • Forward planning for future material and equipment needs to prevent disruption to the flow of work.
  • Accountability for the safety and well-being of all crew members.
  • Compliance with all site and prime contractor safety regulations.
  • Daily reporting on crew activities.
  • Leading toolbox talks
  • JHA development and review for assigned crew.
  • Responsible to work alongside crew members to complete the work.

Education and Experience:

  • 2 years' experience as a Foreman in a Construction trade (required)
  • Certified electrician, preferred
  • OSHA 30 preferred

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to pass a background check to work on-base is required.
  • Ability to proactively recognize hazardous work conditions and implement mitigation measures.
  • Ability to work in and operate construction equipment such as scissor lifts, skidsteers, lulls, etc. Training certificates preferred, but certification can be provided.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic working knowledge of electrical theory & PV power generating system fundamentals.
  • Aptitude for understanding the operation of various testing equipment, tools, and procedures utilized in the maintenance of PV power generation systems.
  • General technology proficiency.
  • Proficiency in reading technical specification documents, site plans, & electrical schematics.
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate well with peer Technicians and other personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications to include but not limited to MS Word and Excel, as well as an ability to learn new computer programs without difficulty.

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period. Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).

Travel Requirements:

This job is based in Jacksonville, NC at Camp Lejeune. Per diem packages are available for non-local applicants.
