Job Summary:

The Rigging Supervisor achieves the sales goals of the business unit through planning, coordinating and directing all op Satellite Rigging Location. This position will actively grow the rigging sales and profitability through customer interaction. They will interpret diagrams, measurements and interact with rigging to complete rigging order requests. They will coordinate workflow to best utilize the resources by assessing the lead time a work to determine if a job should be completed in house or by the production facility. They will ensure that all products for quality and signed off before delivered to customer.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement and maintain sales plan to achieve rigging shop and store annual sales goal
  • Work with PRO Market Team Managers to grow wholesale business and market share through planning and goal setting
  • Manage all quotes, orders, transfers, POs, production and payment for rigging products and services
  • Perform rigging activities for product creation and installation
  • Work with store management to schedule rigging staff to meet peak customer demand and scheduled jobs
  • Communicate and train store Associates on rigging shop capabilities and services
  • Provide product knowledge to customers and suggestively sell items and additional services that they may not have anticipated
  • Ensure the rigging staff are representing the highest expression of our brand and the service we provide
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of rigging staff through company and industry sponsored product training
  • Executes or directs all shop inventory procedures and activities
  • Protects crew members and customers by providing a safe and clean shop environment
  • Ensure all safety rules and standards are followed while working in the shop and the field
  • Maintain the stability and reputation of the shop by complying with all legal requirements
  • Available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends and some holidays.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to interpret rigging diagrams, rigging measurement and rigging terminology to assist customers and coordinate workflow.
  • Demonstrates advanced technical skills in Splicing and installation rigging duties in shop as well as on marine vessels.
  • Must be able to provide transportation to worksites.
  • Must understand the proper ways to go aloft and be able to execute.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ Years Rigging/Management experience

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and crawl.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
