Process Safety Engineer
Petroplan is recruiting for a Process Safety Engineer to be based at our clients LNG facility located in Cameron, Louisiana. This position will report to the Process Safety Manager and is tasked with ensuring operations are carried out safely, effectively, and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (other engineering disciplines may be considered based on relevant experience).
- 3-5 years of engineering experience in a process plant environment is preferred.
- Must hold a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support key elements of process safety management, including Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), building siting, and process design
- Monitor and analyze process safety metrics to identify trends and anomalies.
- Assist in communicating process safety risks effectively.
- Provide ongoing support for Process Safety Barrier Health reporting.
- Participate in Process Hazard Assessments (PHAs) and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) while managing related action items.
- Contribute to the management of investigations related to process safety events (PSE).
- Aid in evaluations for the following activities:
- Car sealing
- Procedures for initial start-up and standard operating procedures (SOP) updates
- Process safety incidents
- Work permits
- Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPs)
- Inhibits/Bypasses
- Safety Critical Element (SCE) management
- Pre-startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)
