We're seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client, a leading chemical manufacturing company, in Gregory, Texas. This is a full-time contract position with a duration of 11-27-2024 to 07-27-2025.

Role Overview
  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Utilize your expertise in electrical engineering to troubleshoot and optimize a wide variety of equipment for safe, environmentally sound, reliable, and profitable operations.
  • Base Plant Support: Serve as the electrical technology expert liaison for the site, providing engineering assistance and identifying vulnerabilities to support base operations.
  • Project Support: Collaborate with various teams to provide technical support for new or replacement equipment, including design and specification of electrical equipment.
  • Reliability Improvement: Drive improvement in site electrical equipment class health and reliability through strategic planning and step-out technology assessment.
  • Networking & Above Site Activities: Participate actively in the ExxonMobil electrical discipline network and represent site electrical concerns in broader initiatives.
  • Performance Analysis: Utilize power system modeling and studies to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation for all electrical equipment and procedures.
  • End-User Support: Provide advanced support and resolve technical issues for internal customers and third-party service companies.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Electrical Engineering Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical safety, design, and testing standards, including hazardous area classification standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with personnel at all levels.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify vulnerabilities and propose cost-effective solutions.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead improvement initiatives and work effectively in multicultural teams.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience in power system modeling, protective relay coordination, and chemical manufacturing operations preferred.

Education & Experience
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in electrical engineering or ITIL advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in petrochemical production/manufacturing facilities with a general understanding of safety risks.
