Company Description
SICIM is a Construction Company established in 1962 and offering all types of services related to the installation of pipelines and relevant ancillary facilities for the transmission and distribution of oil, gas and water on an international basis.
Position
Interface with Subcontractor Discipline Leaders and Client Lead Engineers, including attending project meetings
Control Subcontractor's activities and resources
Review and control civil and structural deliverables including drawings and calculation reports
Collection of the data necessary for the design from the other disciplines by means of site surveys where needed
Coordinate with site engineers and construction managers to solve issues on site
Prepare Material Requisitions and Technical Bid Evaluations
Ensure the respect of deadlines and follow the project schedule
Prepare and issue civil and structural discipline specifications and standard drawings
Prepare Subcontractors' Scope of Work, MTOs and Method Statements
Coordinate with internal engineers, designers and drafters to ensure the correct preparation of engineering deliverables
Prepare Geotechnical and Topographical Survey Scope of Works and review Survey Reports
If necessary, prepare and issue construction drawings and calculation reports with the use of CAD and FEM softwares
Prepare reports for Project Engineering Manager consolidating progress and highlighting areas of concern
Vendor Follow-up and review of Vendor documentation
Manage Design Changes and Technical Queries, both internally and with client
Verify comments on documents returned from client, identify cost and schedule impact
Prepare As-Built documents and evaluate impact of changes.
Review and check the design in 3D Engineering Environment
Requirements
A master's degree or equivalent degree in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university with a minimum of ten (7) years relevant experience in the oil & gas industry, with a minimum (five) 5 years as Civil and Structural PSL for Oil and Gas projects.
Experience as a Civil and Structural on oil/gas and petrochemical capital / EPC projects
Demonstrated experience of design and engineering of oil and gas production facilities and familiarity with the latest engineering methods, practices and tools, including Quality and HSE implementation practices, and environmental engineering aspects.
Fluent in English with strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to use CAD and FEM software (AutoCAD, STAAD.PRO, SAP2000)
