Exus is seeking a Commercial Analyst who will be responsible for Back Office activities of the Commercial team, with a focus on performing settlement calculations, revenue reporting, and reviewing contracts for tracking obligations. The Commercial Analyst's responsibilities will include the maintenance and management of revenue- centric models that facilitate the distribution of investor reporting and invoicing. Additionally, they will be involved in contract management of existing contracts, such as Power Purchase Agreements and Swaps, to ensure obligations are satisfied.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform shadow settlements; validate final settlements; communicate with counterparties to facilitate alignment, disputing errors as necessary; and execute invoicing. This includes but is not limited to ISO, hedge, and REC settlements.
- Collaborate with Accounting on invoicing and payments.
- Draft transaction confirmations and invoices (power swaps, REC sales, etc.)
- Analyze, reconcile, and evaluate the accuracy of confirmations, ensuring proper amounts and Commercial terms.
- Collaborate with Asset Management and Accounting to deliver revenue reporting; investigate, explain, and present actual to budget variances.
- Manage and maintain revenue models for reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Explain revenue calculation methodologies and financial impacts internally to other departments.
- Read contracts to understand Commercial obligations; record and communicate obligations to Management and Contract Administration.
- Maintain knowledge of ISO rules and proposed changes.
- Manage REC trading and tracking system activity (PJM GATS, NCRETS, WREGIS, TX REC etc.).
- Draft REC transaction confirmations and delivery REC obligations.
- Support Contract Administration in completion of generator certifications (by state) and Green-e attestations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, accounting, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience working in the financial or energy industries; experience directly supporting Back-Office functions in wholesale or retail electricity preferred.
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex models in Excel.
- Proven competence in MS Excel-based modeling.
- Knowledge of ISO market operations and settlements, especially in PJM and ERCOT.
- Knowledge of physical and financial power products; basic derivative knowledge preferred.
- Basic understanding of energy markets, solar technology, and wind technology.
- Ability to analyze and extract relevant information within contracts.
