An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Delivery Lead - Civils to join the Sizewell C project—one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure developments. This nuclear new build will play a vital role in providing clean, reliable energy and supporting the UK’s Net Zero goals.
Reporting to the Site Delivery Director, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of key civil works, including enabling works, major civils, networks, and large-scale infrastructure. You will lead a team of senior managers and ensure the successful execution of works in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the delivery of complex civil engineering works across the Sizewell C site.
- Ensure seamless coordination between multiple stakeholders, including contractors, project teams, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage interfaces between Civil Works, Conventional Island, and Nuclear Island to maintain alignment with project objectives.
- Oversee compliance with ONR regulations, CDM strategy, and nuclear safety standards.
- Drive project execution in line with budget, schedule, and safety requirements, ensuring the highest quality of delivery.
- Lead the coordination of reinforced concrete structures, nuclear-grade construction, and high-integrity civils.
- Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure best-for-project decisions are made.
Key Requirements
- Proven track record in nuclear civil engineering or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of ONR regulations, nuclear safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in managing large-scale construction projects, including heavy civil works, concrete structures, and enabling works.
- APM/Prince2 qualifications or equivalent project management certification.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience overseeing multi-disciplinary teams.
