EHS Manager - United States - Substation HVDC Project

The Role

We are seeking a strong and experienced EHS Manager to join our team on a HVDC Converter Substation project in California. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of the project.

Project Duration: Expected until end of 2025.

The Challenge

This role requires a proactive and assertive individual to address current safety concerns and establish a strong EHS culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Taking decisive action to improve safety protocols and enforce compliance.
• Stopping work if necessary to address immediate safety hazards.
• Implementing a comprehensive EHS program and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Investigating and rectifying safety incidents and near misses.

We Need You To

• Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing EHS programs on large-scale construction projects (minimum 3/500MW projects).
• Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to assert authority in a demanding environment.
• Effectively manage and motivate contractors to prioritize safety.
• Have a deep understanding of OSHA regulations and union safety protocols.
• Be eligible to work freely in the US.
• Provide clear and concise communication with all levels of staff.
