We are seeking a passionate and skilled MEH NI and CI Handover Engineer to join our world-class team at one of the nation’s most significant infrastructure projects.

The Role:

As the MEH NI and CI Handover Engineer, you will be at the heart of ensuring the successful transition of Nuclear Island (NI) and Conventional Island (CI) systems from the MEH Joint Venture to the MEH Program, and ultimately to the Commissioning and Pre-Operations teams. Your attention to detail and engineering expertise will ensure systems are installed, verified, and handed over in compliance with the highest engineering and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the system handover process from MEH JV to Commissioning and Pre-Operations.
  • Review Engineering Execution Summary Reports (EESR) and verify system installations through on-site walkdowns.
  • Manage punch lists and support the resolution of any comments, snags, or faults.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering documentation and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including MEH JV, Commissioning, and Pre-Ops.
  • Maintain and refine system handover procedures, schedules, and documentation.
  • Prepare and manage documentation and certification for critical project milestones.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Technical expertise in mechanical engineering or nuclear operations.
  • Degree-qualified in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in nuclear industry, oil & gas, or other regulated sectors.
  • Proven track record with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of systems in large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.

Desirable Extras:

  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional recognition.
  • Experience in the design, commissioning, and maintenance of nuclear power plants.
  • Demonstrable commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with the UK nuclear licensing framework and safety processes.
