Overview

The position of Shelf Mechanic entails operating an offshore production facility according to customer specifications, conducting testing, calibration, maintenance, and inspections of equipment, and completing mandatory paperwork for both customers and governmental agencies. Additionally, responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining various equipment such as turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, and reciprocating equipment like pumps and compressors.

Responsibilities

  • Operate offshore production facility in accordance with customer requirements
  • Test, calibrate, maintain and inspect equipment
  • Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and government agencies
  • Maintain and troubleshoot, turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, compressors, reciprocating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.)
  • H2S protocol knowledge

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 8+ years offshore mechanical experience on a production platform
  • lead mechanic level on a production or pipeline facility with a substantial amount of valve knowledge/experience to conduct valve inspections.
  • Computer knowledge
  • Organization skills to maintain platform
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills in a team environment
  • Creating policies and procedures for maintenance, testing, and inspections of offshore lifeboats
  • Needs to have technical mechanical skills and be able to create policies and procedure
