We are seeking a Mechanical Technician II to join our team on a 1-year contract in Baker, Montana. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment and technologies in the Oil & Gas industry.
Role Overview
- Assist mechanical engineers in planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery such as pumps, compressors, and gas engines.
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates for maintenance projects.
- Actively participate in the use of on-the-job safety tools and procedures.
- Review job packs and identify any safety issues before beginning work.
- Execute work as planned and record technical history using appropriate tools.
- Provide feedback on job pack improvements to the execution team.
- Request permits and notify supervisor if there are any delays.
Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge and experience working with pumps, compressors, and gas engines.
- Familiarity with plunger pumps, centrifugal pumps, and gas engines is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively describe conditions and recommend solutions.
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
Education & Experience
- Relevant certification or equivalent professional experience in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
