JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood has an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Equipment Engineer - Rotating (Temporary) that has previous experience of working across Feasibility Studies and FEEDs, plus EPC and PMC projects. This is an opportunity for you to become a valuable, well-rounded of an experienced team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expertise in mechanical engineering documents, e.g., data sheet, performance curve, design calculation sheet, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), piping schematic, drawing, mechanical testing report, instruction manual, etc.,
  • Provide advice to Engineering teams to determine feasibility, process/ design advantage, cost & time constraint and other technical or economic factors which may affect the project's medium-term to long-term production process. Identify the problem areas and suggest the appropriated solutions/actions to Engineering team as necessary.
  • Be able to verify lateral & torsional analysis study
  • Be able to participate in technical clarification, and technical bid evaluation
  • Be able to prepare material take off within project timeline
  • Be able to participate and supervise FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, and the commissioning work of mechanical equipment or package to comply with the applicable specifications, procedures, codes and standards
  • Be able to prepare scope of work for construction
  • Perform such duties as may reasonably be assigned
  • Recommend corrective actions when the project performance deviates from the project direction/requirements


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related filed
  • Have a minimum of 8 years' experience in oil and gas industry. However, experience in petrochemical industry also can be proposed for consideration
  • Additional experience in construction or commissioning is preferable
  • Has knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI, ISO, and other internation standards and codes, related to rotating equipment design and selection such as API 610, API 674, API 675, API 676, API 682, ASME B73, ISO 1940-1, etc.,
  • Understand renewable energy
  • Hard worker, well organized, proactive, high leadership, teamwork attitude and problem solving in a timely manner
  • Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can - do attitude and a desire to win
  • Possess good interpersonal skills with excellent English communication skills
