JOB DESCRIPTION

NOV is looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator based in Montrose.

The UK Quality Assurance Co-ordinator works as an integral member of NOV Rig Technologies Aftermarket Operations organisation as well being part of a busy and diverse global quality group and must be able to show demonstrably high levels of competency and timeliness with written work and reporting. To ensure Development and continuing improvement of Quality System required by (a) accrediting bodies (b) legislation (c) internal audit and performance measures.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review, approve and upload revised or new procedures, work instructions and forms to the database
  • Distribution of new issues and updates of QMS procedures and practices
  • Schedule, control and conduct Internal Audits (once trained if not already)
  • Raise and process internal complaints as required and determine and take the most appropriate action, using all available relevant data sources (with QA advisor support)
  • Ensure relevant internal complaints are subject to root cause analysis (with QA advisor support)
  • Ensure that Risk Management, Management of Change (MOC) and Contingency process are correctly followed
  • Identify areas for Improvement within the QMS
  • Ensure Quality Objectives/Goals are measured and reported
  • Pull monthly/quarterly reports and distribute on anything overdue/outstanding
  • Participate in UK Aftermarket personnel QA training session (support with the materials)
  • Supporting in the general upkeep of the QMS via regular check-ups & reviews
  • Recording of minutes of meeting
  • Perform any other duties as may be required to support the business

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Secondary Level Qualification
  • Educated to a good standard of high school education or equivalent


SKILLS, TRAINING OR SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Proficiency in MS applications
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communications


QUALITY ASSURANCE

  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance procedures and department/area work instructions.
  • Contribute to general improvements in the quality and key activities of the department/area.


TRAINING

  • Participate in training where required

  • Carry out all duties safely and in accordance with the Health & Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, procedures, training and instruction.
  • To be safety conscious and report any safety hazards to the HSE representative.
