Are you ready to take on the role of Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer for a major oil and gas client? As a contractor, you will have the opportunity to work full-time in Monaco for 12 months (extendable). Role Overview
- Package engineer for Mooring Mechanical Equipment on spread moored FPSO or turrets.
- Analyze client needs and requirements to propose fit for purpose mechanical equipment.
- Ensure discipline deliverables are issued with good quality, within schedule and budget.
- Check that vendor bids and technical documentation are in line with requirements.
- Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines, vendors, and the client.
- Manage complex interfaces with other disciplines and vendors.
- Drive vendors and engineering subcontractors.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Maintain autonomy and entrepreneurship in your work.
Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise in fluid power control (hydraulics systems, chemicals injection units, process control units).
- Expertise in mechanical equipment (pressure vessels, pumps).
- Expertise in handling components (winches, cranes, hoists).
- Good general knowledge of piping, electrical, instrumentation, and process disciplines.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Management skills to drive vendors and engineering subcontractors.
- Proactiveness, autonomy, and entrepreneurship.
- Excellent communication skills.
Education & Experience
- Engineering degree with a strong mechanical focus.
- 5 years of experience in Oil and Gas Engineering.
