Job Overview
The Regional Energy Management System Operator is responsible for executing energy projects, managing vendors, and addressing issues related to the maintenance, upkeep, and upgrade of building automation, energy management, environmental, HVAC, and lighting systems within the assigned area.

Technical Expertise: Proficiency in EMS, building automation, energy management, environmental, HVAC, and lighting systems.
Project Management: Ability to manage and execute energy projects, including budgeting and coordinating contractors.
Vendor and Contractor Management: Skilled in overseeing vendor performance and ensuring adherence to standards.
Leadership and Team Management: Experience directing personnel and setting and reviewing goals for direct reports.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate with diverse groups and articulate facility management objectives.
Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Resourceful in addressing challenges and adaptable to changing priorities.
Analytical and Organizational Skills: Capable of tracking and managing preventive maintenance and repair orders.
Customer Service Orientation: Committed to maintaining high standards of property management and operational performance.

Job Overview
The Regional Energy Management System Operator is responsible for executing energy projects, managing vendors, and addressing issues related to the maintenance, upkeep, and upgrade of building automation, energy management, environmental, HVAC, and lighting systems within the assigned area.
What You Will Do
- Maintain, upgrade, and repair EMS and building energy-related systems.
- Serve as the single point of contact for all work within the designated zone.
- Direct the work of Macy's personnel and specialty and recurring subcontractors.
- Ensure that property management responsibilities and communications with store management are executed at or above stated standards, in conjunction with the Regional FM Director.
- Initiate, direct, and monitor the performance of trade personnel.
- Communicate facility management's operating philosophy, objectives, and expectations.
- Prepare and communicate written individual goals for each direct report semi-annually and annually, and review progress regularly.
- Ensure that direct reports are meeting their individual goals.
- Review and submit operations and maintenance capital expenditure requests and approvals for assigned facilities to Macy's capital project manager.
- Collaborate with the project manager to obtain estimates, coordinate contractors, and oversee projects through completion.
- Monitor purchases made by direct reports to ensure adherence to purchasing procedures and use of approved vendors and supply partners.
- Track and monitor preventive maintenance, repair work orders, and purchase orders to ensure timely and complete execution.
- Plan, implement, and manage operating budgets for the area of responsibility, with assistance from the area director.
- Perform other FM-related duties as required.

Who You Are
- Candidates with a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, or a related building trade from an accredited college or university are encouraged to apply.
- This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands. Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. May involve reaching above eye level. Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs. Available to be in the on-call rotation and for emergencies in facilities as needed.
