POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of motor generators, automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors. Work involves replacing worn or broken parts; accomplishing routine servicing including checking and replacing as required fluids, lubricants, filters, etc. Requires proficiency with normal mechanic tools including hand, power, and pneumatic.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have demonstrated satisfactory skills and good performance as an Automotive/Generator Mechanic. Must have three years progressive experience as an Automotive/Generator Mechanic or have graduated from a two year resident course at a vocational institute or a recognized apprenticeship program. Must possess a valid driver's license. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Work will include associated cross-utilization into these and other jobs as required. May require some overtime and weekend work.
