In line with our strategy to improve plant operations, we are seeking a Production and Quarry Supervisor. Reporting to the Operations Manager of the Bedoin site, your two main objectives will be:

• Coordinating all on-site operations, including extraction, transportation, processing, and shipment of materials, in compliance with safety standards.
• Supervising, optimizing, and continuously improving production activities in collaboration with other departments, ensuring compliance with local regulations and adhering to agreed cost budgets..

Responsibilities:

• Production Activities: Supervise on-site production activities, ensuring they are carried out safely and according to the production schedule.
• Quarry Operations: Coordinate the management of quarry operations in compliance with operational excellence principles and safety standards.
• Operational Excellence Principles: Oversee production and quarry activities in line with operational excellence principles (performance dialogues, problem-solving, etc.).
• Quality and Quantity: Strive to achieve the optimal balance between quality, quantity, efficiency/yield, and cost requirements.
• Team Management: Manage a team of 14 employees, motivating team members to enhance collaboration and support their individual development and well-being.
• Health and Safety: Understand Sibelco's safety regulations and ensure all activities comply with these rules. Document the health and safety aspects of mining activities and the production process.
• Permit Applications: Participate in the permit application process and follow up to secure the necessary permits, ensuring the continuity of mining operations.

About You:

• Education: A technical background with a qualification ranging from Bac+2 (similar degree) to Bac+5 (Master's degree, Engineering degree), ideally with knowledge of geology or quarry operations.
• Team management skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines.
• Strong interest in the continuous improvement of an industrial entity.
• Demonstrates rigor and strong analytical and synthesis skills.
• Clear and effective verbal and visual communication skills.
• Proactive, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Fluent in French.
• Advanced level of English (oral and written).
• A valid B driving license is required.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a similar role and/or sector.
• Knowledge of SAP, Mendix, and Power BI is a plus.
• Familiarity with quarry regulations and environmental standards is an asset.
