DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Drill Operator, you will expertly operate various essential equipment, including trucks, drill rigs, water trucks, and electric drills. You will ensure safe operations while minimizing wear and tear through diligent field adjustments, effective minor repairs, and proactive preventative maintenance. You will also lead the demonstration of equipment operations to fellow employees and support mechanics with minor repairs.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate equipment records, performing manual labor duties during drilling, and efficiently accessing drill sites. Selecting and using the right tools for each task is crucial, and you will promptly report any missing or damaged equipment. Additionally, you will provide direction to operators of rental equipment. On the technical side, you will assist in identifying soil and rock types, conduct soil and rock tests, label samples accurately, and install and monitor slope indicator casings. Your contributions will significantly enhance the team's effectiveness and the overall success of our projects.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in the operation of core and auger boring equipment; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- All positions require, at time of hire, an active Pennsylvania Class A Commercial Driver's License with the Air Brake Restriction (L) removed or equivalent.
- All positions require, at time of hire, possession of an active Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations.
- All candidates must demonstrate, at time of interview, successful operation of equipment with a manual transmission.
- All employees must obtain an active Tank Vehicle Endorsement (N) during the probationary period and continuously maintain it while employed in this job.
