Undertakes inspection of Pipeline to establish condition. Prepares inspection reports outlining specific recommendations and liaises with maintenance Engineers and field supervisors regarding their implementations.
Assists Head of Inspection in other day-to-day activities and acts as a relief, during periods of annual leaves. Recommends repairs as required, reviews materials specifications for pipeline liaises with the NDT and Welding Inspectors regarding weld repairs, procedures etc.
Experience
Minimum 10 years experience in inspection of pressure containing plant preferably in the refinery, chemical or oil & gas processing plants.
Good knowledge of international Codes and Standards related to fabrication and Inspection of pressure Pipeline, etc.
Good knowledge of welding techniques, procedures and welding examination.
Qualifications
Academic: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or chemical Engineering or in Metallurgy plus corporate membership in appropriate institution.
Technical: Through Knowledge and Experience in pipeline Direct Assessment, In Line Inspection and Pipeline Corrosion Integrity Management certifications as per ASME B31.8 and NACE Std. NDT methods leading to ASNT / CSWIP / PCN Level-2 certification or equivalent at the discretion of OAI(M)
