JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for providing maintenance and assist mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, and machines. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure operations sites are being maintained in a safe manner

• Coordinate and plan major overhauls of Compressor packages

• Routine maintenance and support on reciprocating & screw compressors

• Work on VRU's and gas lift

• Coordinating and overseeing major repairs and overhauls on pumps, compressors and engines

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintenance of equipment associated with gas liquefaction and production facilities

• Working directly with vendors to resolve rotating equipment/parts issues

• Working directly with engineers to resolve compressor issues

• Identify any safety issues associated with job end ensure removal/mitigation prior to working

• Record technical history as required by workgroup. (Global Reliability Tool (GRT), data sheet, etc.)

• Provide feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS

• Request permits and notify Supervisor if permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time

• Helps prepare proposals and cost estimates.

• Actively participate in the use of all on the job safety tools

• Review job packs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Working knowledge of screw & reciprocating compressors

• Pumps: (Centrifugal and Positive Displacement (PD) and H Pumps)

• Troubleshooting large natural gas engines, compressors and pumps

• Work in extreme outdoor temperatures.

• Positive attitude to communicate, and work with other personnel, departments, and outside officials.

• Basic Computer skills needed for planning, scheduling, record keeping, regulations, engine analysis, and troubleshooting.

• Self-starter with strong planning, technical and analytical skills

• Perform duties with minimal supervision.

• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced facility personnel.

Preferred:

• Formal or industry experience in Oil/Gas field
