Your role and responsibilities
As an intern you can contribute to cross-functional initiatives for optimizing customer on-time delivery, lead-time, inventory and forecast accuracy supported by lean tools whenever applicable and collaboration with the different stakeholders in the end-to-end Supply Chain. You will report to the Planning & Fulfillment Manager. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the MV Switchgear Business Line, within the Distribution Solutions Division, Electrification Area in Dalmine. You will be mainly accountable for: • Monitoring suppliers' performances in terms of on-time delivery and implementing corrective actions if necessary. • Executing daily, plant-level Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) to create and manage production requirements to meet the production delivery schedules. • Monitoring schedule adherence, identifying key root causes for deviation, and taking follow-up improvement action. • Being responsible for stock profile and segmenting the portfolio of materials through an ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management and commercial policy, defining inventory policies according to this segmentation. • Collaborating with Buyers for obtaining the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, MOQ, quality, lead time, and flexibility. • Managing MRP (Materials Resource Planning) exception messages on a daily basis; supporting cycle counting and/or year-end inventory counting. • Expediting parts and managing quick ship requests, communicating and expediting material issues. • Supporting Planning & Fulfillment team in aligning material availability to business targets. • Supporting end-to-end planning of inventory including sales in excess of invoicing from purchase requisition to customer invoice. • Supporting internal customer service inquiries and organization in reaching inventory targets and ensuring adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders.

Qualifications for the role
- You are a student in Management Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly on Microsoft Excel;
- Knowledge of SAP and data analysis tools (Power BI or similar) is considered a plus;
- You are creative, innovative and digitally smart;
- You have an ownership and problem solving attitude, and are result oriented;
- You have a teamwork attitude, good communication skills and courage which completes the profile.
- You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken
